Swim Tennis
The ORRA Swim Tennis facility consists of a junior olympic size swimming pool, covered restroom and picnic area and two lighted tennis courts.
The pool, tennis courts, parking lot and adjacent landscape are the property of the Oak Road Recreation Association (ORRA), and are only open to members and their guests.
Pool Access
An ORRA board member will open the driveway gate and inner pool gate by 8:00 a.m. each day and both gates will be closed by 9:00 p.m. when the lifeguard leaves. The outer gate to the pool will remain closed and locked at all times. Members must have a key to enter the pool.

Adult members or guests (18 years and older)
Adult members and their guests may use the pool when lifeguards are not present. Adult members wishing to use the pool between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. must have a master key in their possession. If adult members wish to remain in the pool area after lifeguards leave at 9:00 p.m., at least one member must show the lifeguard that they have a master key in their possession. Members remaining in the pool area after the lifeguards leave are responsible for locking the inner pool gate and driveway gate upon their departure.
Members or Guests less than 18 years of age
No one under 18 is allowed within the fenced pool area when no lifeguard is on duty, unless accompanied by an adult Head-of-Household who is also a member of ORRA.
Lifeguards will clear all children (less than 18) from the pool every hour for a 15-minute rest period. During the “Adult Swim”, lifeguards will be on break and only persons 18 and older will be allowed in the pool. Children may not enter the pool or sit on the steps of the pool during adult swim. The lifeguard will signal “Adult Swim” for clearing the pool, and “All Swim” when back on duty. At this time, children may reenter the pool.
When lifeguards are present, children aged 11-17 who are not accompanied by an adult Head-of-Household and ORRA member will be allowed in the pool area under the following conditions:
- Must have a parent’s verbal permission and
- must check in with lifeguard upon entering the pool area.
- Must obey all ORRA pool area rules.
Members or Guests less than 11 years of age
At all times, an adult Head-of-Household who is also an ORRA member must accompany children under age 11.
Conduct
- No foul language, obscene gestures or excessive screaming will be tolerated.
- Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be admitted and/or asked to leave. Police will be called for assistance, if necessary.
- No running, pushing, wrestling, or other abuse will be allowed.
- Volume levels of electronic equipment must not interfere with the safety and enjoyment of others at the pool.
- Any member or their guest causing property damage shall be held financially responsible.
- Lifeguards are not responsible for any lost or stolen objects. Personal belongings should not be left overnight. Items left will be placed in Lost & Found and reclaimed on an Honor Basis.
- No one except the Pool Liaison or an ORRA Officer may reprimand employees of the pool company (Positively Pools, Inc.).
Health
- All injuries or illnesses must be reported to the lifeguard immediately.
- The pool may be closed for maintenance, health conditions, weather or any other reason deemed sufficient by the Pool Liaison or the ORRA Officers.
Safety Guidelines
- Lifeguards have the authority to close the pool to further entry of members and guests, if they do not feel that there are a sufficient number of adults present for them to safely monitor children in the pool.
- An adult Head-of-Household who is a member of ORRA must be present should the lifeguard need to leave the premises in case of emergency. If an adult is not present, all children must leave the pool area.
- Only the lifeguard and ORRA board members are permitted in the pool pump room.
- The lifeguard has authority to clear the pool under periods of bad weather.
- Proper swimming attire must be worn at all times (no cut-offs). Babies must wear waterproof plastic pants when in the pool. Diapers must be properly disposed of in a self-contained plastic bag.
- Small inflatable/flotation devices (including noodles) may be used only to the extent that they do not impair the enjoyment and safety of others.
- All trash must be placed in trashcans in order to keep the pool are safe and clean. Only bagged trash should be placed in the large city trashcans.
- No gum is allowed in the pool area. Cigarettes and cigar butts should be disposed of like other trash.
- No rough horseplay, running, shoving and throwing objects capable of causing injury is allowed in the pool area.
- Glass objects are prohibited in the pool area.
- Smoking is prohibited within the fenced pool area. Smoking is allowed under the gazebo and shade arbor in front of the pool entrance.
- Pets are not allowed within the fenced pool area.
- No bicycles, tricycles, skates, skateboards, roller blades, etc. allowed within the fenced pool area.
- Any person having a cold, inflamed eyes, nasal or ear discharge, skin disease or sores, or any communicable disease will be excluded from the pool area.
- The gas grill is for everyone’s use. Please clean up the grill after use. Contact the Pool Liaison for grill repair/refill.
- Shooting of fireworks is prohibited in the vicinity of the pool, including inside the fenced pool area, tennis courts, parking lot and surrounding landscape.
Guests
- Guests who are friends or family of ORRA members, and who live outside of the Holly Springs, Brookwood Lakes and Brookwood Plantation neighborhoods, may use the pool and tennis courts, so long as they are accompanied at all times by the ORRA member who invited them.
- Individual ORRA member families may not invite more than 4 guests at any one time, without prior approval by Pool Liaison or other ORRA board member.
- All guests must sign in and include their full name, address, and the name of the ORRA member they are accompanying.
- When bringing guests to the pool during lifeguard hours, members must identify guests to the lifeguard upon their arrival at the pool.
- Guests are not permitted inside the fenced pool area when member host is not present.
- There will be no charge for guests to use the pool in 2011.
Non-Members
- Residents who live in Brookwood Plantation, Brookwood Lakes or Holly Springs neighborhoods, but are not ORRA members, are not allowed to use the pool or tennis courts as guests.
- A current membership list will be posted at the pool and will be used to confirm membership should entrance to the pool be challenged.
- Use the guest sign-in book to pencil in your desired date, your name, phone number, and the number of people you plan to have attend, then notify the Pool Liaison to confirm your schedule.
- For a Private Party after hours between 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM, a lifeguard may be required at a cost of $12.00 per hour at the discretion of the pool liaison. The cost of a private party is $100.00. You must notify the Pool Liaison two weeks prior to the party date, and pay the party and lifeguard costs at that time. The member responsible for the party must clean up all trash and place in plastic garbage bags in side trash containers. During an after hours private party, no one else may use the pool area.
- Members will not be excluded from using the pool or tennis courts during regular hours because of a scheduled party.
- Members are not allowed to exclusively reserve the pool for private parties during regular hours.
- Members are allowed to have Gazebo Parties, but they must be scheduled in the guest sign-in book. There is no fee, but all trash should be placed in garbage bags inside the trashcans.
The tennis courts may be used by paying ORRA members only. To reserve a court sign the schedule book located in the display case next to the court gate. We currently have no ALTA teams playing our of our tennis courts.
